Conference Chair
Jordan Herman
BSCS - Computer Science, University of Cincinnati

Delta Alpha Chapter
Jordan is in his 5th year at the University of Cincinnati studying Computer Science and Business Administration. Jordan pledged in the spring of 2022 and served his chapter as Pledge Class President, Vice President of Membership for two terms, Treasurer, and Sergeant at Arms. In April 2023, Jordan received a Chapter Distinguished Service Key in recognition of his service and dedication to Delta Alpha.
Outside of Alpha Phi Omega, Jordan loves college football, spending time with friends, and developing communication software. Jordan is a Head Resident Advisor over two communities on campus, and helps nearly 500 residents and 15 staff members live, learn, and grow together.
Since pledging, this will be Jordans 6th conference and first time serving as a conference chair. Jordan is passionate about creating the best conference possible with the inclusion of student presenters, interactive programming, and incorporating LFS into each part of the conference. Jordan is very excited to welcome everyone to Dayton this fall and cannot wait to bring Region H home.
Conference Pro Tip: Take advantage of the opportunity to meet new people and go out of your way to venture outside of your chapter and sit with new people, go to programs that interest you, and be YOU.

Gahn Mungarndee
BSIE - Industrial Engineering, Purdue University
Alpha Gamma Chapter
Gahn is a senior at Purdue University studying Industrial Engineering with a Minor in Computer Science and a Certificate in Collaborative Leadership. He joined Alpha Phi Omega as part of the Fall 2021 Katz pledge class and has served his chapter as Secretary and Pledge Trainer. He has been honored with the Cardinal Principles Award and the chapter's Christine Heim Guiding Light Award.

In his free time, Gahn is an avid enjoyer of the outdoors, including camping, backpacking, and backyard cooking. He is an Eagle Scout and an active volunteer of Scouting America, previously serving as National Vice President of Communications for the Venturing program. He's also a big fan of finding good deals on stuff at yard sales, Goodwill, and the nearest dumpsters.

Karis Balmer
BSPH - Epidemiology, Indiana University
Mu Chapter
Karis is a senior at Indiana University studying Epidemiology on the Pre-med track. She rushed Alpha Phi Omega in the Fall 2021 Katz class. For her chapter, she is the incumbent Vice President of Semester Sevice Project. She has previously been a member of her chapter’s Standards Board and held various chair positions, serving under Vice Presidents of Service for the chapter. Karis is a proud recipient of her chapter’s Distinguished Service Key and the Section H2 Silver Shovel of Service, awarded Spring 2024.
Outside of Alpha Phi Omega, Karis engages with other mentorship and community-based organizations on her college campus, including the Asian American Association, Indiana University Dance Marathon, Medlife, the Minority Association of Premedical Students, Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, and Student Government!
In her free time, she enjoys advancing her research projects, crafting, thrifting, networking, and making content for her personal social media! Karis considers herself a Super Hoosier and loves all things Indiana (the school AND the state!)
Karis is most excited to be on the planning committee to support morale and get everyone excited about Dayton!

Xi Upsilon Chapter
I am a rising Junior at Mount Union studying Nursing. I joined APO in the Fall of 2022. My favorite memory was being able to go to Give Kids The World with my chapter as the biggest service opportunity of the year.

In my free time, I enjoy going on coffee dates with my friends and twirling at Saturday home games for the Purple Raiders. I am an active member in lots of other organizations such as being a majorette, Student Nursing Association, a sorority, & First Gen Student Organization.

I am very excited to provide all my brothers with a service opportunity that they can enjoy and hopefully be able to bring the idea to their chapters.

Kaylynn Thomas
BS - Exercise Science, University of Mount Union
Xi Upsilon Chapter
Kaylynn is a junior at the University of Mount Union studying Exercise Science with a minor in Biology. She pledged APO in the fall of 2023 and currently serves as the Treasurer of Xi Upsilon. In her first year in APO, Kaylynn was awarded the Diamond Service Award for Service to her chapter and the surrounding campus and community.
Outside of APO, Kaylynn is a sister of Alpha Delta Pi and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Order of Omega, Pre-Physician Assistant Club, and Book Club, many of which she holds executive positions in. In her free time she enjoys reading, running, and trying new restaurants with family and friends.
Kaylynn is excited to serve on this committee as the leadership chair and provide attendees with valuable workshops throughout the weekend!

Matt is a community advisor for the Alpha Gamma Xi chapter at the University of Dayton and the Delta Alpha chapter at the University of Cincinnati. He has held many roles at the sectional, regional, and national levels of Alpha Phi Omega, including Region 5 Chair, Section 56 Chair, and National Convention Coordinator (2016).
Always a strong proponent of conferences, Matt has attended/staffed/planned/enjoyed over 125 conferences during his 25+ years in APO. A recovering bylaws addict, Matt enjoys the drama the comes with the legislative floor at the national convention. With brothers Tommy Brennan and Brian Martin, he co-authored the APO Spark workshop, an impactful, interactive experience designed to help brothers think about, talk about, and celebrate their brotherhood in new and fun ways. He has presented this workshop for nearly fifteen years within the fraternity.
Professionally, Matt works as a registered nurse and manages the organ donation process as part of the organ procurement organization covering Northern California and Northern Nevada. Matt cares deeply about organ donors and their families and takes pride in providing compassionate end-of-life care and affording everyone the opportunity to save a life.

Alpha Gamma Phi Chapter '11 - Northern Kentucky University
Barbara Jo "BJ" Narwold earned her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Northern Kentucky University in 2015. She joined Alpha Phi Omega in Fall 2011 and has since taken on numerous leadership roles at the chapter, section, regional, and national levels. Her focus has included membership education, interchapter relations, advisor and alumni relations, and she served as Section H2 Chair (formerly Section 46) from 2015 to 2019.
A first-generation college student with a deep commitment to community and service, BJ found these values reflected in Alpha Phi Omega when she joined the Alpha Gamma Phi chapter during her sophomore year. She continues to contribute this through her team-building and icebreaker workshops, advising the regional conference committee, and serving as the advisory chair for the Alpha Gamma Phi chapter.
With nearly a decade of experience in higher education, BJ began her career as a Testing Coordinator at Northern Kentucky University in 2015. She has also held various roles in customer experience at Vector Solutions, focusing on process enhancement and support for their educational solutions. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s in Education with a focus on Educational Technology and Instructional Design at Western Governor's University. Her goal is to develop effective corporate training programs for diverse learning needs.
BJ is honored to serve as the conference advisor and is eager to reintroduce student-led conferences and strengthen the fraternity community.
